If your needs are more suited towards an all around vacuum the Bissell 9-quart Canister Vacuum is the one for you.  Not only can it handle dry messes, but wet ones as well.

The Bissell 9 quart vacuum uses a double stage 1.6 HP motor to eliminate wet or dry messes. To protect the motor on the Canister Vacuum from heat overload, it will automatically shut off when it senses that the motor is too hot.  The 9-quart container allows for 98.4 of water to be lifted into the tank.  Two different operating speeds allow the operator to control the amount of suction need for a job.

A long 8-foot hose and 50-foot power cord enable the Canister Vacuum to easily maneuver around objects with ease.  If the power cord ever is damaged, it can be easily removed and replaced.  A soft bumper will protect the vacuum and anything it may run into from getting blemishes.  The wheels are specially constructed so they will not leave any marks on the floor.

For any cleaning job, there are 5 included on-board tools: crevice tool, blow molded upholstery hose, blow molded upholstery tool, dusting brush, long metal telescoping adjustable wand, and floor/ rug combo cleaning tool.  There is also and air driven brush roller available to purchase separately.

Three stage filtration keeps dust and allergen in the vacuum instead of recirculating through the air.  The motor filter is the first stage in filtration, protecting it from debris as it is sucked into the vacuum.  Dirt and dust deposit into a 7.3-liter disposable bag for hygienic removal.  As airflow continues through the vacuum, the exhaust filter is the final stage in filtration, capturing remaining dust and allergens.
